Day Conference "The STM Opens to Students as a Place of Experimentation, Experience and Inspiration"

In the context of the International Day Celebration on "Museums in a Changing World: New Challenges, New Inspirations" and the European Museum Night 2012 and in the context of "Culture 2012" of the University of Patras, the Science and Technology Museum successfully organized, on Friday, May 18, 2012, the Day Conference "The STM opens to students as a place of experimentation, experience and inspiration". The event was implemented with the support of the Employment, Career & Liaison Office of the University of Patras. It was addressed to students of all Departments of the University of Patras or other Universities or Higher Education Institutions. Start time of the Day Conference 12:00 noon.

The aim of the Day Conference is to highlight the Science and Technology Museum as a place for experimentation with new ideas and a place for gaining experience and inspiration for students through voluntary offering and / or internship.

During the Day Conference, among others, students from the Departments of Geology, Physics and Computer Engineering and Informatics of the University of Patras who have offered their services to the Science and Technology Museum Voluntarily or as part of an Internship presented the experiences they have gained and new ideas with which they have experimented and implemented in the Museum. The participants also had the opportunity to be guided to the permanent exhibition of the Museum "Telecommunications in our lives" & to the temporary exhibition "Science and Technology Museum of the University of Patras: a Modern Museum in a Changing World - 3 years of Alternative Function" and get to know the activities of the Museum as sources of inspiration, creation and experience.
