Travel Typewriter, model 1961 in mint green. It was the thinnest mini portable and lightweight typewriter in the world. It weighs only 3.6 kg. Made in Switzerland by Paillard S.A Yverdon. The Hermes Baby typewriter was in production from the late 1930s to the early 1940s. It was named Hermes in honor of the Greek Messenger of the Gods. It was thought to be the IPAD of its time.
Due to its small size, it became the “indispensable” typewriter for novelists, celebrities and journalists of the time, such as Ernest Hemingway, John Steinbeck and Max Fries.
