The Science and Technology Museum (STM) of the University of Patras in collaboration with the Departments of Health Education of Primary and Secondary Education of Achaia, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, announces

The Panhellenic Competition on Creative Writing with the Theme: “Stuck on the Internet? Never!!!"

The projects can address issues such as:

  • The causes of addiction in the use of the Internet, mobile phones, or other digital technologies, such as the psychological needs of the individual, his ability to create an ideal state of himself by hiding aspects of himself, the lack of direct consequences of actions, etc.
  • Factors that lead to Internet addiction, such as stress, personality traits, hyperactivity, phobia, etc.
  • The symptoms caused by Internet addiction, such as obsessive thoughts and dreams about the Internet, stress, voluntary or involuntary typing, spending too much time and money on Internet-related activities, antisocial behavior, poor school performance, etc.
  • The boundaries between Internet addiction and its enthusiastic use.
  • The prevention and treatment of Internet addiction.

The aim of the Competition is to contribute to the prevention of Internet Addiction, by using creative writing at the service of raising students' awareness. The material that will be collected can be an important educational collection for Internet addiction and used for educational purposes.
